The Weird Story...

Coming back from a trilobite hunt in Morocco in March of 2023, I had finally found myself a worthwhile project to give something back to the generous people of the country. Here's where you find the story that belongs to it...

UPDATES ON THE PROJECT

1) Last year (2023), having passed by all my friends, and having been able to do some promo about the project at the Minerals & Fossils Fair of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, I was able to send (only a month after the start of the project) the amount of 170 euros into the bank account of Raja's father Daoud, but we got a nasty surprise when my bank charged me the fabulous price of 39 euros for the favour. It was therefore decided that for a next delivery of monetary help, it would be done manually (and scr.. the banks!).

2) Soon it'll be April 2024, and a trip to Morocco is coming up. having been able to promote the project on several Minerals and Fossils fairs with the help of some friends (a very big thank you, in the first place, goes to Didier Walhain, but there were others whom helped out by placing some promo on their stands), I will be able to hand over the nice sum of a little more than 400 euros, of which about a quarter came in free donations (enough to compensate the costs of Raja's physiotherapy for five months, in fact).

3) June 6, 2024. My good friend Adrien Lafontaine made a montage of a short video and pictures taken prior, during, and after the transfer of the funds generated in the Raja Project (which eventually became 480 euros, by the way).
